These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the access and use of the Hotelbuuk Travel Buddy platform, operated by Hotelbuuk Technologies UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a company registered in Germany. By using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
By accessing Hotelbuuk or using any of its services, you accept and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms provided within the platform. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
Definitions & Interpretation
Platform: The website, mobile app, and all related services offered under Hotelbuuk Travel Buddy. User: Any individual who accesses or registers on the platform. Travel Buddy: A user engaging in shared travel planning, experiences, or cost splitting. Verified User: A user who has completed identity verification. Listing: A travel-related request or post created by a user.
User Eligibility & Account Registration
Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent. All account details must be accurate, up-to-date, and not misleading. Accounts may be suspended for violations or false representations.
User Responsibilities & Code of Conduct
Users must maintain respectful communication, uphold honesty, follow all laws, protect account security, honor travel agreements, use platform features appropriately, respect privacy, and report any inappropriate behavior. Failure may lead to warnings, suspension, or account termination.
Prohibited Activities & Content
Prohibited actions include harmful content, impersonation, hacking, spam, unauthorized promotions, adult content, bot usage, and any manipulation of the platform. Violations may result in suspension or legal action.
Travel Requests & Buddy Matching System
Users can create travel listings. An AI-powered system suggests compatible travel buddies. However, users are responsible for evaluating their matches and Hotelbuuk holds no liability for outcomes or interactions.
Cost Splitting, Payments & Financial Terms
Subscriptions are required for premium features. Payments are non-refundable. Users are responsible for managing subscriptions, keeping billing details up to date, and covering any taxes. Hotelbuuk may change pricing with notice.
Cancellation, Refunds & Dispute Resolution
Users must follow third-party providers' cancellation policies and resolve disputes directly with them before considering legal steps.
Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR/CCPA Compliance)
Hotelbuuk complies with GDPR and CCPA. Data is only collected lawfully, transparently, and securely. Users can access, correct, or delete their data and object to processing. Hotelbuuk does not sell user data.
Intellectual Property Rights
Users retain content ownership but grant Hotelbuuk a license to use content on the platform. Hotelbuuk owns all IP rights to its branding, design, and technology. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
User-Generated Content & Moderation Policy
Hotelbuuk may moderate and remove violating content. Repeated offenses may result in account termination.
Safety Guidelines & Liability Waiver
Hotelbuuk is not liable for offline behavior. Users must meet safely and take responsibility for their own actions and safety.
Third-Party Services & External Links
Hotelbuuk integrates with services like Stripe and PayPal but is not liable for their performance or decisions.
Termination & Suspension of Accounts
Accounts may be suspended or terminated without notice for rule violations or dangerous conduct.
Modifications to Terms & Notifications
Terms may be updated with notice. Continued use means acceptance of new terms.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by German law, and disputes will be handled in courts in Berlin.
Force Majeure
Hotelbuuk is not liable for delays due to uncontrollable events like natural disasters, wars, or network failures.

Referral & Affiliate Program Terms
Participants must follow affiliate agreement guidelines separately provided by Hotelbuuk.
Events & Meetups
Users may organize events. Hotelbuuk is not liable for these. Users assume all personal risk.
Testimonials & Reviews Policy
Reviews must be genuine. Fake, paid, or offensive reviews will be removed and may lead to account restrictions.
Arbitration Clause
Unresolved disputes must be resolved via binding arbitration under the German Arbitration Institute (DIS).
Survival Clause
Intellectual property, dispute resolution, and data rights will survive account termination.
